Plan the talk, not just the snacks.
Ask members for one line each before the meeting - a passage they marked, a hot take, a question. Paste them here and say how far everyone has read. Any line that points past that chapter or page - "(ch. 18)", "p. 240" - goes in the spoiler jar and is never sent; a line with no chapter or page is sent as written. The rest becomes the night's menu: a starter anyone can answer, main courses of questions built on members' own lines, a side dish that argues the other side, and a dessert to close on.

The model reads only the lines you sent - never what it knows about the book, so it cannot spoil what the club has not read. It builds each main course on one to three members' lines as a thread of Socratic questions (clarify, probe the assumptions, weigh the evidence, follow the implications, try another view), adds a starter, a steel-man side and a dessert, and leaves the minutes to the page. Too few lines worth discussing come back as questions to send the club.
